The Shakespeare Awards 2009-2010
TPAC President Peggy Dowell and SBC President Kay Blanchard recognized Dr. Tim Stowe, TUSD, with the Shakespeare Award bronze medallion in a private ceremony.
The Shakespeare Award is a friendly competition to encourage and inspire new and experienced playwrights and poets who live in Los Angeles County, California.

ABOUT PLAYWRIGHT CHARLES KRAY
Charles Kray has a bachelor's degree in acting from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, and a master's degree in playwrighting from the University of California, Los Angeles, CA. Charles also studied at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. After leaving the 101st Airborne, he was a daily editor of an army newspaper. Charles was Artistic Director at the Blackfriar's Theater in New York City, New York; Grayfriar's Theater, Los Angeles; and Coronado Playhouse, Coronado, California, among others. He has worked for notables such as Marlon Brando as a story editor. Charles was editor of the Gardena Valley News for more than 40 years. He fills in for John Bogart, the fun Daily Breeze columnist, on occasion. Congratulations Charles, you are an outstanding playwright talent!
